Der Hammerwirt in Siegsdorf

It was our first time on a big excursion with our new caravan. Since we wanted to try out our self-sufficiency package, we ended up in the parking lot, which is easily enough for 6 mobiles or caravans. But then the icing on the cake, we had knuckle and schnitzel, just very good. Service was very friendly, distance is maintained. So what more do you want? Great experience.

I would definitely give more stars if this were possible. We have only been here for one day and despite Corona conditions you have been more than warmly welcomed here. The hotel is family-run and the hosts are incredibly nice and easy-going and above all move with the times! Our room is one of the new Zita Rooms and is really clean and lovingly furnished. They pay particular attention to hygiene in these special times. The food is excellent and a great mix of new and traditional. Breakfast also blew us away personally. The small lake at the hotel is natural and wonderful to refresh. On some evenings there is a special offer where you can get together and enjoy the evening. You get an aperitif, a fabulous 3-course menu and then coffee and a nightcap with nice people. We stay another 9 days and we'll be back!

As always, we were very satisfied. Were in Hammer in early / mid-August. Room very clean and comfortable, great food, great owner family anyway, very friendly service. You still have to remember that we are in Corona times. The spring was the lockdown, exactly where the landlords have to recruit staff for the main season. That went badly this year. I can understand that some businesses are switching to self-service due to their size. That didn't bother us at all, we knew in advance that the “normal situation” would not await us. I also find it remarkable that the Hörener family thinks of their employees and doesn't have to cover them for kilometers with face masks! This cannot be expected of anyone. When it rained, meals were served inside. We thought the community evening on Monday was great, also in terms of price-performance! As usual, the food was delicious! We look forward to next year! Very nice and warm hosts, who are always at your side with advice and action for planning your holiday. Breakfast and the food in the restaurant were fresh and regional. The swimming lake is great and a welcome change after a long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel is on a thoroughfare didn't bother us at all, it was still quiet! All in all a wonderful vacation that we like to think back to :)

Not a good concept, self-service, grandiose names for average cuisine at high prices. It used to be a lot better.

Situated in a beautiful location, with good, big and clean rooms and very accommodating staff. Definitely deserves all the compliments.

Nice, quiet, above all clean room and great breakfast and dinner menu! We had a very clean and beautiful, modernly furnished room, which faced the creek, so the nearby street didn't bother us at all. The quiet rushing of the brook behind the courtyard was very calming at night and a real pleasure for us as city dwellers. If it bothers you, you can close the window and then there is absolute peace. We were also very enthusiastic about the rich breakfast with many organic products, many delicious teas from a regional supplier, coffee extras on request and everything that our heart desires. The dinner was just as impeccable and you can tell that in the kitchen you think about implementing classic Bavarian cuisine in a modern way with international influences. What we also really liked was the personal encounter with the Hammerwirt family and other hotel guests. The latter was organized by the hotel owners as part of a community evening and made the vacation even more enjoyable because it resulted in a lot of exchange about nice excursions and activities in the area. All in all, we had a very nice, relaxing stay. There is only one star deduction for the fact that the WiFi on our floor did not work for the entire week despite repairs and that we tried to get toilet paper ourselves a few times. A small selection of snacks could also be provided with the self-service drinks.

Kitchen is great. But the ambience has decreased. Beer garden now on the former parking lot with asphalt 🙁 You have such a beautiful place with an old tree population. It's also a shame that the original Wiener Schnitzel is no longer available.

Our hotel room was very nice. Deductions are mainly due to the many rest days in the evening in the hotel restaurant. Once there was a community evening with a menu (40 euro pp), once it was rented to external parties and then a normal day off. A bit impractical when you arrive exhausted in the evening and don't want to search for a restaurant anymore. Breakfast was okay, but the tables themselves had to be cleared. The selection was okay. Very nice service, room was cleaned every two days.

The friendly and pleasant ambience gave us an unforgettable stay. When we arrived we noticed how loving the relationship between the family is. Every morning at breakfast we got opportunities for improvement and tips for our trips in the area, which was more than helpful. The breakfast was delicious and due to corona in sufficient quantities in glasses. In addition, the room was spacious, well equipped and clean. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

We spend a long Easter weekend here and it is fantastic as always! The service is attentive and nice, the breakfast buffet rich and the food delicious. Room No.9 is minimalist but modern after the renovation. The beds / mattresses are great. Only the shower is quite small, but the bathroom has a window. Keep it up and we'll come often!

This movement refers exclusively to the restaurant! In short: Perfect, with only a very small minus point: - Super friendly staff - very delicious food - Fair price - Small portions possible - Clean sanitary facilities The only minus point: The beer garden is very poor, so at first glance not very inviting. The chairs could be more comfortable, the floor is not very ideal for such chairs due to the gravel. To which are the waiting times for many guests a bit longer. The food leaves one of these negatives directly forgotten. This is also the reason why I have not awarded 4 but 5 stars. From the outside inconspicuous, but internally professional level! Definitely worth one or more visits!

Such a nice hotel you have to find first, always friendly, the host family is always with a good tip to the side. There is a friendly and family atmosphere. There is also a friendly compliment 😉. The standard rooms are not the most modern but spacious and well equipped and are perfectly maintained by the always friendly staff. Something was forgotten, it is addressed immediately. The beer garden is great and there is also a lounge and sun terrace. A pond for bathing, which is fed from the Traun, completes the offer. The chef cooks, in addition to classic Bavarian cuisine, very imaginative and unusual. Absolutely try ....

At the end of our motorcycle tour a stopover at the Hammerwirt as always good food spacious clean room rich breakfast. There is a private swimming pond with sunbathing area fed by the stream behind the house. Nice beer garden with good beer when we are close again we will be back.

Excellent service, very good atmosphere, location and their kitchen is superb. Especially recommended for families.

We stop here every year on our way to Staubach. The food is fantastic, with generous portions.
